Meet Our Team

Robert Davis

Robert began his insurance career in 1999 as a licensed agent for Farmers Insurance. After two years he was appointed to serve as a district manager for Farmers, recruiting and training agents in the Kansas City area. He left Farmers in October 2011 to start Ambassador Insurance Midwest.

From day one, Robert's vision for Ambassador was to create a partnership between the best insurance carriers in the marketplace and our own team of highly-trained agents and support staff. His goal has always been to make sure our customers get the advice and coverage they need, at a price that makes sense.

Robert and his wife, Jamie, have three sons and live in Shawnee, KS. Outside of work, he and his family enjoy traveling, snow skiing, hiking and anything on the water!

Jesse Denton

Jesse began his insurance career in 2016 with Farm Bureau Financial Services. Within a year he determined that serving his clients through an independent insurance agency better suited his clients and his goals. He takes pride in educating himself and his clients on complex insurance solutions for individuals and businesses from the west coast to the east. He gives the same exceptional service to his individual clients as he does his national commercial clients. Jesse shines in surplus-lines insurance where detail is key, and insuring higher-risk businesses takes a creative approach.

Jesse and his family are outdoors enthusiasts, who enjoy a good challenge or competition.  He enjoys fishing, camping, golfing and getting outside regularly with his three kids and wife.  Jesse volunteers as a coach for his kids' baseball and basketball teams.  As an Eagle Scout, and now adult leader, Jesse is active in Pack 3240.

Kim O’Connor

Kim began her insurance career as an agent with Farmers Insurance in 2007. She joined Ambassador Insurance in March of 2013. Her primary focus is working with individuals and families to make sure they have the coverage they need, to safeguard the things they work hard for every day!

Kim is originally from Leavenworth, Kansas. She was active in sports, and had a passion for playing golf. She went on to play golf for the University of Oklahoma, where she was named as an All-American. After graduation, and up until she started her insurance career, she worked as a local golf pro. In her free time now, she enjoys time with family and her two furry sidekicks - Charlie and Sam!

Michael Peterson

Mike began his insurance career in 2009 as an agent with Farm Bureau Insurance in Overland Park, KS. He was a captive agent for 8 years before making the transition to become an independent agent with Ambassador Insurance Midwest in 2018. He has always had a desire to treat others the way he would like to be treated which has been his driving force in going above and beyond with customer care and service.

While the Leawood office still feels like home since that’s where he got his start, he now heads up the Florida office, serving both the Midwest and our expansion into the southeast part of the country.

Mike and his wife, Michelle, have 2 children that enjoy the outdoor life and a myriad of activities including, triathlon, running, cycling, swimming, fishing, surfing and some beach time.

Kara Humphreys

Kara started her career at State Farm 2016, where she wore many hats over the years. She recently made the decision to transition to an independent insurance agency where she is excited to service commercial as well as individual clients. She has a vast knowledge of the insurance industry and enjoys learning about new and creative insurance solutions for her customers.

Kara and her daughter enjoy spending time with family and traveling. When they aren't spending time with family and friends, they are outside with her yellow Lab, Daisy.

Katie Friesner

Katie graduated from Kansas State University in 2017 and began her career in insurance in 2018. She joined Ambassador in November 2020, and is on-hand to help with whatever our individual and business clients need.

Melanie Moore

Melanie began her insurance career in 2024 when she joined Ambassador Insurance Midwest. She is here to help with whatever our individual and business clients need. Prior to joining Ambassador, she worked in early childhood education for eight years after graduating from Fort Hays State University in December 2015.

Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She enjoys travelling, especially if it includes going to the beach.
